City of Sacramento Systems Engineer

This position is located in the Operations Division of the Department of Information Technology.  The candidate shall be able to Design an/or create database users and maintain database security.  Support database backups, restore strategy, and develop a new one with the latest RDBMS releases.  Troubleshoot complex technical problems. Monitor and tune databases to obtain optimum performance, etc.

Preferred, but not required:  2+ years of experience in relational database installation, upgrade, configuration and administration, support, and maintenance.
